Licenses and tags for
big game hunts can only be purchase through the San Carlos
Apache Recreation & Wildlife Department, whether in
person, or by mail.
To purchase license and tags,
-
submit a Hunting
Application
-
Include a photocopy of Identification (state
I.D. or Driver's License). Junior Hunters must
submit a copy of Hunter's Safety Card.
-
send a description of the year, make,
model, color and license number of the vehicle you
intend to use during your visit.
Payments must be made by Money order or
cashier’s check. to the San Carlos Recreation & Wildlife
Dept. (Only
Visa
and
MasterCard
accepted).
All sales are final with no refunds or
non-transferable! Rules, Regulations and Commission orders
are subject to change without notice!

Additional Fees:
Hunting tag $15.00 and Habitat Stamp $5.00.
Trophy Hunts
A licensed Tribal
Member Guide is required to hunt in the R-100 Unit during the
Non-Member Trophy hunt.

Elk Hunts are only for Youth hunters 11 to 17 years of
age. NOT A TROPHY HUNT. Management Elk is a bull
elk that the SCATRWD Biologist has determined needs to be culled
from the herd due to poor antler growth, deformed antlers, bulls
that have only one antler, etc.
